Hashtag is a rather popular concept in social networks. Most of us use social networks but few people know, Hashtag marks quite an important role in online advertising campaigns, not just a simple 'promoted' sign.

The initiative by Twitter , hashtag helps the system of user posts, community connections and even helps companies control their brand advertising on social networks. Quickly spread to other social networks like Instagram , Facebook , and Google+ , it seems that Facebook is not a promising land for the Hashtag when follow-up is inversely proportional to the number of hashtag included in the post. Despite that, the hashtag is still developing and becoming a trend for advertising campaigns or attracting viewers for major events.
